1. What
types of file formats can you accept? - Proper artwork for imprinting
requires vector art. We accept as camera-ready art: Adobe Illustrator
(.ai) or transferable vector art (.eps) files. These files should
be prepared by converting all text to outlines (or to curves if
using Corel Draw), color separated (if multicolor), and saved as
PC compatible.
Please note: JPG, BMP,
TIFF and GIF files are not camera-ready as they are raster images
and not vector. If you only have this type of file you can email
it to us (min 300 dpi) and we will convert the file for you to the
proper format. Images captured from the Internet cannot be used
without incurring an art charge. Please include all font names in
your email. All artwork should be emailed to artdept@a2zpromotional.com

| 2. What
if I need help with my art / I don't have the right file type?
- If you need assistance with your art, call customer service at 800-442-2131
to discuss your artwork and how we can best help you. If you do not
have the proper file format, you can email us what you have (minimum
300 dpi) and we can attempt to convert it to the proper format. One
hour of art time is supplied at no charge with your order. |
| 3. How do
I send you my logo? - All artwork can be emailed to artdept@a2zpromotional.com
. If you are sending a large file such as a TIFF file, please use
WinZip to compress the file before emailing. |
| 4. What
if I do not have any artwork? - Sometimes, customers just want
a text-based imprint or want to add clip art to their art. See below
for font and clip art information. If you need artwork created for
you, call customer service at 800-442-2131 to discuss all your options. |
| 5. What
fonts can I use for my imprint? - If you are sending vector art,
be sure to convert the fonts to outlines, that way we do not need
to have your font on file and it can still be used. We have prepared
a PDF of the most common fonts available. You can specify these on
your order, or use them in preparing your art. Click
here for font list. (Note: If you require a specific font that
we do not have on file, then you will need to send us the TTF file
or charges will apply for procuring that particular font). |
|
6. Do you
have clip art available? - Luckily, Microsoft Design Gallery
Live can provide you with thousands of clip art files to choose
from for free. You can download art and then insert it into a MS
Word document, add any text you want - and your done! That Word
file can then be sent to us to be used as your art. Please note
comments above about available fonts.
Please note: If you are
doing a one-color only imprint, be careful when selecting clip art
as most is multicolor. Many times we can convert it to one color
but we will need to see the file before final acceptance of the
artwork.
|
| 7. What
are PMS colors? - PMS (Pantone Matching System) color is similar
to RBG scale for the Web - but for screen printing. Yet, these colors
do not relate to one another exactly. We cannot take an RGB color
and specify a matching PMS color. Colors available for imprint are
listed with each item. We have prepared a select PMS
color chart to assist you selecting your colors for imprint. Please
note that monitors vary greatly in the way that they display colors
depending on your settings. This chart should only be used as a guide
and not representative of the exact imprint color. |
| 8. How long
do you keep my art on file? - We maintain a library of client
art for 5 years so that we can adjust your artwork as need for any
items that you order. For a specific order, the factory will maintain
your art for a minimum of one year. Most times, you will not have
a screen or set up charge gain if you have an exact reorder with one
year. |
| 9. Will
I see a proof of my artwork? - All customers will receive a black/white
faxed proof (to scale) of their art along with their order form for
approval prior to sending the order to the factory. For multicolor
art, you will receive an emailed JPG file for approval also. If you
require an actual sample with your artwork, additional charges will
apply - contact customer service at 800-442-2131 for details.. |
